Yes all these fires are devastating. All the smoke here comes from fires miles away. Every summer the hills here get dry and baked. They just look a lot more eerie seen with and through the smoke.

Thank you, it seems so weird how smoke from fire that causes such devastation can have that ‘mystical’ feel to it, and yet it does. Like other wordly. Thanks for naming it.

Yes, it is quite intense. At times it reminds me of Mexico City in the winter, back in the 70’s, when the volcanoes disappeared behind the haze. I haven’t been back since the late 90’s.
