Sometimes
while walking in a place we’ve never been before
without even looking for anything in particular
we come upon a treasure.
A gift
in the middle of the afternoon
a moment to pause and be still.

Even though I was only wandering in the city, not “hunting” for treasures, these managed to find me.

An incredibly beautiful church inside and out.

Excellent. Looks just like a European medieval cathedral.
Thank you, and it does remind me of cathedrals I’ve seen in Europe. This church has been through several incarnations having been destroyed by the 1906 earthquake and badly damaged in the one that occurred in 1989. The first small church was blessed in 1873 and has grown over the years, with the final reconstruction and reinforcement finalized in 1992. A church of many lives 🙂

Very beautiful choice Arati. I too loved the lights altho the church is amazing. I just think they give such a feeling of peace and quiet
